Tina Karkkainen

Greetings!

My name is Tina, I’m lucky to be a hair stylist working in our ever changing hair industry. I have been doing creative hair for eight years with a focus on inspired hair designs, new fashions, and colors.

I studied at Milwaukee Beauty School
I have done two extensive apprenticeship programs working under many talented stylists
I have been working in NE Portland professional based salons

Hair styles are personal artistic expressions and I enjoy turning good hair ideas into imaginative styles. I take pleasure in doing hair colors ranging from natural to wild and extreme rainbow. Hair cutting can mean a whole new look to an inspiring trim, and come in all textures from straight and fine, wavy, or bouncy curly.

In addition to hair, I have a wide variety of personal interests. Currently, I’m attending Portland Community College and working on my Associates of Science degree. During the summer months I enjoy hiking, camping, and volunteering for music festivals. While at home I enjoy creating art projects and working in my organic garden.

The Salon has two sides of windows for great natural light and lots of lush green plants. There are 5 other amazing stylists who have all worked together in the area for a long time. I am sure we will all fit in great and I look forward to seeing you in the new space.
