Waxing

Waxing can be such an intensely personal experience that it was important for us that we have products that make the process as quick, clean, and pain-free as possible. Not that waxing is really ever pain-free. But the lines we carry are wonderfully flexible for the variety of waxing needs we all have. Nudesse (Nufree) is a soy-based depilatory that heats in a container pre-set to 98.6 degrees. This means that it will never burn and is also great for those with sensitive skin. Nudesse is naturally a very thick product and requires time and care when using, so our practitioners are not from the "quick-wax" school. We get the job done but make sure that you're not breathless from pain (my own "quick-wax" experience was over in fifteen minutes and left me with tons of stubble) or dealing with immediate grow-out from breakage. Finipil is also a secret weapon in fighting coarse or thick regrowth and ingrown hair. It is an after-care anti-microbial cream that softens the hair and helps keep regrowth sparse.

Cirepil, our linen strip-free wax, hardens on the skin and is peeled away in small pieces, leaving no sticky residue behind. It has many of the properties of candle wax and is irritant-free so it's great for sensitive skin and delicate areas. Why do we love this wax? It is the crème d'la crème of hard waxes. Made in France this wax never tears half way through a pull. Why hard wax as opposed to soft? When waxing gentler areas its great to have a wax that only pulls up the hair rather than leaving fragile tissues bruised and scabbed. We use it mostly in the bikini and underarm areas.
